About DNS Belgium
In 1999, ISPA, Agoria and Beltug established the not-for-profit organisation DNS.be, now DNS Belgium. Our aim is to register domain names, to make the internet more accessible and to support its usage.
Since 2008, DNS Belgium and Close the Gap have been working together to close the digital divide. The funds that are generated are distributed in Central and East Africa and in Belgium. For project applications in Belgium, the King Boudewijn Foundation selects the projects that receive PCs with software, support and training.
With that equipment, we help organisations that help teach people how to learn to operate in the digital society. Thus far, we have provided more than 10,000 PCs and have reached more than 150,000 people.
About Close the Gap
Close the Gap is an international non-profit organisation that aims to bridge the digital divide by offering high quality, pre-owned computers and mobile devices donated by large and medium-sized corporations or public organisations to educational, medical, entrepreneurial and social projects in developing and emerging countries. With a 100 € donation, you can offer an A-quality computer with software to be used in a social project in Central or East Africa.
GUIDOOH is the result of the fusion between Guido and Boomerang. GUIDOOH symbolises the best performing proximity-media on the market. With exclusive indoor-media, a sharp attention for target audiences, a better geo-targeting and an increasing selectivity, we create privileged relationships between brands and consumers. Boomerang was founded in 1991 and was the absolute reference in its original segment, indoor media, with 7 different media networks. Guido nv focused exclusively on the niche of the student market and young potentials (15yo – 15yo) for 25 years. GUIDO features own student media, for example the CIM-certified campus magazine Guido Magazine, the daily growing online Guido Portal (and its social media) and the enormously popular annual Guido City Guides (available in print and as an App). Moreover, GUIDO built its own poster network within schools, campuses and contact centres for students. GUIDO profiled itself as a marketing office for students, as it is also prominently present on campuses, which includes organising remarkable campus activities. The optimisation of this mediamix ensures that GUIDO is able to reach the global student population all over Belgium.
